Newsner: We probably all seen an optical illusion before that tricked our eyes into thinking that a painting, drawing or animation was a real object. I'm always fascinated by drawings or sculptures that are totally realistic, for example. I just can't wrap my brain around how someone could have the talent to make lines on paper look like real life.

If you think this is a painting of a naked man, look again

This time, however, the artist Alexa Meade chose to do the exact opposite. That is, she took something very real and made it look like something painted on canvas.

At first glance, it looks like an ordinary painting...

Or perhaps more accurately, a bunch of different paintings.

There's no doubt that this artist is talented.

But as we'll see, there's something more going on here...

This is no painting.

It is work of art painted on a man whom the artist then photographs.

Earlier this fall, Alexa Meade uploaded a video on Facebook about the process. Since then, over 60 million people viewed her video and more than 1.3 million people have shared it. Check out the whole clip and enjoy more of her artwork.

Impressed? I know I'm not the only one who's fascinated by these incredible works. Share this article with your friends if you love them, too!
